CWSF Trips

Awarded to the 5 overall top projects from the Junior, Intermediate or Senior Divisions.

Trent University Science Fair Prize

A prize of $1000, to be applied to first-year tuition fees at Trent University, is offered to a senior secondary school student whose project is judged outstanding at the annual Peterborough Regional Science Fair. Recipients are eligible to receive this prize one time.

University of Ottawa Award

One $1000 scholarship to a deserving senior project. This scholarship will be applied to the tuition fees when the student or students register in an undergraduate program at the Faculties of Engineering, Science or Health Sciences. In the case of a two-student project, each student will receive a $500 admission scholarship if they register in appropriate undergraduate programs at the University of Ottawa. If there is no suitable senior project, this scholarship may be awarded to a suitable intermediate project whose authour(s) is (are) in grade 10.

Nipissing University Award

One $1,000 admission award to the senior project that is considered to be the most deserving by their Ontario regional science fair organization. The award is intended to encourage students to pursue a university degree in Science.
In the case of a two-student project, each student will receive a $500 admission award.
This award will be applied to the tuition fees when the student, or students, register in an undergraduate program in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Nipissing University.

University of Ontario Institute of Technology(UOIT) Awards

Two $100 awards to projects demonstrating the most innovative development, adaptation or use of technology in any area. At least one project must be a junior project.

Ontario Association of Medical Laboratory Awards

One $100 award for the most outstanding project in disciplines such as Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Toxicology, and Forensic Science, and incorporating analytical laboratory methods, such as analytical techniques or physical methods of analysis, for example a spectrometer or chromatograph. The successful project must be outstanding in its own right and display exemplary use of analytical laboratory methods.
If there is no project that meet the preceding criteria, then the following alternate criteria may be used: outstanding experimental project displaying exemplary application of the experimental method. The award may be given to any of the Junior, Intermediate or Senior Categories without restriction.

Hydro One Energy Ambassador Award

One $100 award to the student(s) with a top project on the distribution or conservation of electrical energy in any division.

Peterborough Field Naturalists' Awards

Best projects which increase interest in, and stimulate study in, nature & wildlife, environment, conservation, pollution research or restoration of ecosystems.

      Primary Division - Two $25 awards

Frank Hancock Award

$100 donated by the Peterborough Astronomical Association to the top Astronomy project

THE ONTARIO MINISTRY OF RESEARCH AND INNOVATION STEPPING STONE AWARD

A Certificate to the second overall best project in the fair in the Junior, Intermediate or Senior divisions.
